Horrors of War has won a "Chris
Award" from the
Columbus International Film Festival in Columbus, Ohio. "The
Chris Statuette" is the highest award given to film
or video productions. Entries are judged on a seven point
rating system.
A superior rating of seven is required for winning the “Chris”.
Productions are competitively evaluated against other productions
in their division and category as well as on the merits stated
above. Chris winners are widely recognized as receiving the
hallmark of superior quality.

a part of the The
Rebel International Film Festival in Chattenooga, TN
Horrors of War won the
BEST SPECIAL EFFECTS award at the
Fright Night Film Festival in Louisville, Kentucky
Saturday August 18th, 2007. Horrors of War was Juried by
a panel of five and found to be worthy of winning the 2007
BEST SPECIAL EFFECTS AWARD due to the realism of the makeup
effects and the complexity of it's ability make you believe
it was real during the gunfights and battle wounds. The
judges were overwhelmingly in favor of it winning this
category by a large margin.
Horrors of War is an official
selection for the "B" Movie
Celebration in Franklin, Indiana Saturday August 18th,
2007. Director's John Whitney & Peter John Ross won the "Emerging
Filmmaking Talent" award at the festival.
